Development of the NER and thus emphasizing on investment and increased production in the region. Also with the ACT EAST POLICY by the Govt. of India and due to the inflow of increase of business in the Northeast part connecting India with the South East Asian Countries it has become our motto to make this policy a reality
Some of the functions of this office are :
- Dedicated to the people of NE Region with an aim to promote business development in NER Region.
- To take over the unorganized land custom station in the region and to turn it as organized port to facilitate EXIM trade community.
- We also undertake sanitization and PCS Services.
- To expand the general and bonded facility in the NER & West Bengal Region with logistic connectivity.
- To provide temperature controlled godown in the NER Region.
- Liaisoning with waterways authorities for management which is also a major scope in EAST/WEST corridor.
- To promote cross border trade with neighboring countries and also to tapped the business by providing best warehousing & logistics support.
- Taking over of FCI godown under PMS Scheme.
