CWC at a Glance

  • Corporation has 50% equity in 19 State Warehousing Corporations (SWCs). As on 31st March, 2024, these State Warehousing Corporations were operating a network of 2205 warehouses with a total storage capacity of 504.01 lakh MT. The total investment of the Corporation in the equity of 19 State Warehousing Corporations as on March 31, 2024 is Rs.62.73 crore. During the year 2023-24, the Corporation has received Rs.43.13 crore as dividend from State Warehousing Corporations.
  • As on 31st July 2024, CWC is operating 564 warehouses through 14 Regional Offices & 4 Satellite Offices. Total storage capacity of CWC is 128.65 lakh MT which includes 18 Custom Bonded warehouses, 20 CFSs/ICDs, 03 Private Freight Terminals (PFTs), 25 Rail Side Warehouses (RWC’s), 01 Accompanied Baggage Warehouse (ABW), 03 Temperature Controlled/Cold Storage Units. Average capacity utilization for FY 2023-24 is 87.36%
  • The authorized capital and total paid up capital of CWC are Rs. 100 crore and Rs. 68.02 crore respectively. During FY 2023- 24, The Corporation has achieved the turnover of Rs. 2303.81 crore as against Rs. 2117.35 crore (IndAS reinstated) in the last year. Average capacity utilization during FY 2023-24 was 89.57% as against 87.09% during the last year. For the FY 2023-24, CWC has paid interim dividend of Rs 153.98 crore & proposed a final dividend of Rs 13.12 crore totalling to Rs 167.10 Crore @ 5% of its net worth of Rs 3342.11 crore.
